Summer Soirée Splendid Fun

On Thursday, June 19th, The Newcomers and Natives Club members and their friends gathered for drinks and hors d'oeurves  at The Landing Restaurant in Marblehead.  NANers celebrated the club's 7th year. It was a great opportunity to solidify relationships and invite others to join our social organization. Members enjoyed their complimentary drinks and made new connections. Things got kicked up a notch when member Keith Hersey belted out a few tunes with the band. Congratulations to Heather C for winning the $50 gift certificate to The Landing Restaurant (generously donated by The Landing)

Annual Cookie Swap
Newcomers and Natives Club Sweetens Mom’s Day for Mothers of HAWC

Last Friday women of Newcomers and Natives Club (NAN) gathered at Marblehead Historical Society’s beautiful Museum on 170 Washington Street in Marblehead to swap cookies. The purpose of this event was to brighten the lives of 14 mothers that are being helped by HAWC, Help for Abused Women and their Children, with a beautiful and delicious gift for mother’s day. NAN would like to extend a big thank you to Cinny Rocket and Pam Peterson at the Marblehead Museum, Alicia Black at HAWC, and all the women that baked for and came to the cookie swap. Thank you for bringing joy to these courageous women on mother’s day.

If you would like to learn more about HAWC and their admirable cause, please visit their web site, http://www.helpabusedwomen.org. To learn more about Marblehead Historical Society, please visit http://marbleheadmuseum.org.

Easter Egg Hunt

On Saturday, March 22nd, the Newcomers and Natives Club held their first ever Easter Egg hunt at the Marblehead Community Center.  We had a fantastic turn out.  We couldn't be more happy with our guest Music Together teacher Teresa Coelho.  She was simply fantastic and added quite a lot to the event. For information on Music Together classes visit www.musictogetherofmarblehead.com
Children hunted for eggs hidden amongst the indoor play equipment and kept busy with the ride-on toys and music fun thereafter.  Great job Linda Power, Laurie Mulsman and Mona Hersey for pulling off this fun children's event!

St. Patrick's Day Celebration

O'bit early... Friday, March 14th, NANers gathered at Sweeney's Pub in Marblehead for some beer, 1/2 priced appetizers, and a great social time.  The fun started at 7:30pm and went well past 11pm!  Some members were even found dancing to the funky band playing in the dining room!

Valentine’s Children’s Party

About 20 families joined in the fun at Pump it Up on Saturday February 9th. The children jumped for joy in this amazing place! Slides, obstacle courses and jumpy-houses kept them active and happy while the adults socialized! Adults and children alike had a blast. The afternoon was capped off with a delicious snack and goodie bags. Another home run for the children's events coordinators. Thank you Colleen and Nicole!
